dragon*con chic
Sep. 1st, 2007 02:41 pmEverytime I go to D*C, LOTS of people ask if I'm dressing up, and I always tell them I'm going as a tourist. I don't want to dress up cheesy, nor do I want to spend the money (or time in the costuming track learning how to) dress up Not!Cheesy.
I've discovered that there is, in fact, an identifiable Dragon*con "uniform," though, beyond the costume: track shoes, jeans, and the oversized black T-shirt with the wiseassed geek-out of your choice.
"Joss Whedon is my Master now" was HUGE last year and still hanging in there. Harry Dresden's classified ad has put in an appearance, as have the coffee and chocolate molecules and "No, I will not fix you computer."
Amazing. Even out of costume, I'm missing a trend.
Is it just me, or are there a boatload of SlaveGirl!Leias around this year?
