I did, actually. Mom was still here to keep me honest during my recovery from surgery, but by October 2nd, everything had healed enough for us to go out for dinner.

Outback Steakhouse. Prime rib, medium rare, salad with bleu cheese dressing and steamed vegetables on the side. mmmmmmmmmmmm

The farewell dinner later, though, nearly topped that. Olive Garden. Stuffed Chicken Marsala with garlic mashed potatoes, salad and a wheelbarrow to carry us out afterward. Well, just kidding about the last part, but we sure could have used it! :D
