I get it

I do, really. "Mod" means "their game, their rules."

Still -- I make mistakes. I freely admit to being a clueless airhead from time to time. And I have a temper. And some mods are petty, arrogant and quick to judge. (No, not bad with people. I like the character who is petty, arrogant and bad with people, and I don't like this mod.)

1. I sent a message to a mod asking for posting information. (No reply.)

2. Hours later, I posted a link that broke comm rules. It really was an honest mistake for which I would have apologized and possibly groveled, as I'm a big fan of rules that keep this type of comm active, except for (1.) and:

3. Mod was on that post like stink on shit, mood: irritated, and a stern warning was issued. I left in a cliched huff, taking my toys with me because...damn. (see 1.)

4. And...I am not welcome in any of his/hers/its other comms, which...doesn't actually trouble me that much now that I think about it. Yes, I believe my knickers are still in a twist about (1.) and (3.)

Hmmm. The point of this post just became: You want community? Best make your own. Good luck with that. Some mods are right bastards/bitches/whatever the "it" version is.

Sorry that happened to you. Very frustrating.

I can completely sympathize. I've run into this type of mods myself and I generally do not let the door hit my in the butt on the way out. I can deal with the "this is my sandbox and I make the rules" attitude. I can't deal with the "I don't have to tell you the rules but if you break them I will publicly attack you."
