So...how old is Ronon, anyway?

Canonically? Did we ever get a feel for that, or is he an interplanetary man of mystery?

Am now working on a credible way of making him an Actual Pacific Islander in my AU fusion that involves a Very Long Journey overland from someplace in the Mysterious Orient that took, say, seven years or so of running like a mad thing. It massively interfere with his quest for Greek Fire, as I'm not sure Pacific Islanders of that era would have been all that interested in such a nasty weapon, nor yet all of the ingredients it's thought to have contained.

Running across the Persian Empire would explain why Greeks are suspicious of him, though.

My guess is that the character is in his mid-30's at the youngest. We've seen bits of his past and heard about some of the things he's done plus he's lived at the base for a few years. Mid-30's would be a plausible age.

I always thought he was more in his late twenties. I thought he was still young enough to be idealistic and believe in the need to protect his people (I always figure after 30 people start to get slightly more cynical, no matter if they still believe in protection or not - they've seen the dark and what it makes you do). Some of that idealism was forced out of him during his 7 year run, but it was more of a "has to be this way to survive" than "it's time I grew up" type of thing, if that makes any sense.

Also, in actuality (not that this has anything to do with the Xenaverse) people did not live that long back then.

Please note, this is written after much wrapping and maybe a tad bit of alcohol...
