Back when I worked in retail, I stepped between a small (normal size to the majority of you) female employee and a large (frickin' gigantic to many of you) male customer who was harassing her and made him stop without even having to threaten a call to mall security.
Me = 5'10" (177.8 cm) , built like a beanpole in those days
She = 5'3" or 5'4"(160 to 162.6cm), built like one of those elegantly-bone young women who will <i>never</i> age
He = +/- 6'2" (178cm), built like a linebacker
Or...
I was first out of the raft when the riverguide dared us to take the last rapid in our life jackets. It had been a rough trip, as they'd released a lot of water that day and the rapids were all pretty high.
Or...
Walking into a closed conference room alone with your manager when the last time that happened, you lost your job.
