Adult content?
Dec. 1st, 2007 10:51 pmWell, something definitely happened on Livejournal while I was out of town--I just went through two weeks' worth ofSGA newsletters, picking out the Mckay/Sheppard slash and wound up with 69 (snicker) tabs open in Firefox, about four of which redirected to "Adult Content" warning screens.
Um, okay, but...only about six of them didn't have adult content in some form, seein's how I'm pretty much just here for the smut.
Before I spend a lot of time rooting around LJ News, is there a reader's digest version of where the warning screen came from, and why it's so inadequately applied?

Date: 2007-12-02 06:24 am (UTC)I first noticed it surfing the web from my Blackberry in California, so my parents wouldn't find, um...interesting things in their browser cache. 0:)
Apparently, the IP from a mobile device is too dynamic to keep one's login or button push on the "I'm old enough to go here," because it just kept refreshing that page when I tried to move on to the content.
I feel a great swell of pity for this Marta person they hired to handle o blowback.
