Was it meant to be cute when Katie Brown offered to name a prickly, phallus-shaped plant after Rodney?

The more I think about that, the less seriously the writers seem to be taking this. Of course, Hewlett sort of played into that by acting all sweet and half-honored...not paying a bit of attention, in other words.

Let's review:

Rodney: You were gone?
Katie: Yes, but I'm naming a prickly dick after you.
Rodney: Cool! Let's have sex dinner!
Katie: I have a headache.

Seriously. No, these are not direct quotes, but people who saw the ep? Help me out here. Was that not a fair condensation of what they said?
