The trauma! The drama!
Feb. 8th, 2007 06:08 pmI took today off to have both tits slammed in car doors to have my mammogram at a place so specialized and expensive, there's a doctor on the premises to evaluate test results (plural, yes; there was a standard smoosh of delicate tissue mammogram followed by a sonagram, both of which were perfectly clear;) and let patients know right away if they can go back to pretending this is all a bad dream for another 12 months or, alternatively, when the biopsy is.
It's all too much. I'm a delicate frakkin' flower, damn it, and I require Comfort. Two bead shops, a trip to Ulta 3 cosmetics and The Olive Garden have somewhat taken the edge off, but...porn heals!
What have we got in the way of squishy SGA/SG1/House/NCIS/CSI comfort fic these days? [is all ears]

Date: 2007-02-08 11:38 pm (UTC)I know how you feel. I *flunked* my very first mammogram and had to have SURGERY to remove a lump that turned out to be scar tissue. :/
Needless to say, I'm terrified of them now.
Bead shops? You are a bead-person? I didn't know that. *is a bead-person* :D

Date: 2007-02-08 11:55 pm (UTC)Today's expedition harvested 40 pewter bead caps, two strands really cool glass rondelles, an amazing strand of free-form labradorite, strand of faceted jade rounds, 1/2 strand faceted amethyst rondelles (I couldn't afford a whole one!) strand iolite rondelles & several freebies from my main beadshop, where the owner is clearing space for all the stuff she bought at the big show in Tuscon last week.
That, and shrimp primavera at Olive Garden, was most comforting. :)

Date: 2007-02-09 01:22 am (UTC)We only just got a bead shop in town. I used to have to drive hours to get to one or hours to a gem show. It's a little shop but I have hopes for them.
I make my own beads too (although, it's been a while because fandom is eating my brain). Here is a link to the pics I posted a while back. :)
We also don't have an Olive Garden. It's a sucky town.
