"Some for the McSheppers, a few for the Sheylas, a handful for the John/Ronon crowd, a couple for the Lorne fans, one for the NASA geeks...oh, hell; I'll just dump out the rest for the hurt/comfort whores and watch while the team!porn freaks jump them. Somebody owes me a fight to the death!"
Let's just get the part where my willing suspension of disbelief snapped like an aged rubber band out of the way: Teyla, sweetie, WHAT THE BLEEDING, SHAGGING HELL WAS THAT? You couldn't disarm the shaky, distraught guy on a shaky, distraught deck? Bitch, please.
On the other hand, it adds fuel to the fire that she only likes to beat up Sheppard. :D Maybe Rodney appreciates having his boyfriend tenderized a bit before the main event?
The moral "dilemma" of the piece bothered me less than some out there. Sheppard went over the practicalities of loading the device into the jumper in the time left, and it wasn't possible. What obligates him to risk his life for strangers who might come out feeling the way Herrick did ("My last thought would have been of hope") against the advice his expert, who really thought he couldn't get it done even when one of their own was involved?
