The first one, about "Moliere was right," reminds me of one of my sig quotes: Being a professional writer is a lot like being a hooker. You'd better find out if you're good at it before you start charging for it.

It would not surprise me in the least to find out the quote originated with or was derived from something Moliere said. He was quite the pistol, apparently.
