Under my own name on FaceBook, I posted John Wayne's response to JFK: "l didn't vote for him, but he's my Pesident and I hope he does a good job." I didn't even dare people to ask me whether I thought there was the slimmest shred of a possibility.

Prospective employers do look at one's FaceBook feed and we apparently just okayed a new era of hypocrisy.

I can't disagree that change is needed, however I'm dismayed that people decided that change should come with racism, bigotry, misogyny and hatred. What a damn rallying cry. Yay, intolerance! It's the only way to make this country great again! (Amazing the capacity to re-write history and ignore any achievements made...)

My secret hope is that he said exactly what he needed to ssy to the people who needed to hear it and will now djmp that crowd like Ivana and Marla and do whatever it is he had in mind to begin with. I think Trump is too profit driven to give a rat's fuzzy ass about the faith or ethnicity of the people he's screwing.

The silver lining here is that we know who the racists are, I guess. I wouldn't have guessed it about some of the people who popped out of the woidwork during the campaign.

Except that JFK and all that clan had infinitely more public service experience than Trump does - and while he was just as much of a womanizer a Trump, he had the country's best interests at heart (pretty sure about that...)

Pretty sure you're right. The quote was the least bitter thing I could think of to say.
