So, I got my very first real search and rescue callout. My bag was ready! I was determined!

I fell down and broke my leg about a hundred yards from the trailhead.

No, really. They've given me gobs of painkillers and an orthopod to call. There may be surgery.

How is this my life???

Omg so good. Percocet and an injectable brain liquifier. I had no pain crutching my way up 11 stairs at home good.

Thank goodness no full break. It's a crack at the end of the tibia they may or may not have to do surgery on. I need tto stay awake long enough to call and see an ortho.

Yes it was quite the picturesque fall! The guys were there so fast to help scoop me into the ambulance I think the emts were a little freaked out.
