R.I.P. Sir Terry Pratchett

Author Terry Pratchett has died at the age of 66.

AUTHOR TERRY PRATCHETT, who was renowned for his fantasy novels most notably the Discworld series, has died at the age of 66.

He had been suffering from Alzheimer’s disease for eight years.

His death was confirmed on his official Twitter page, which tweeted:

“Terry took Death’s arm and followed him through the doors and on to the black desert under the endless night. ”

I feel a little bad for being so relieved it was natural causes (chest infection according to Wikipedia) and not suicide as he'd been contemplating since a little while after his diagnosis. One part of me can certainly understand why he would have wanted to, but there will always be a part that is slightly aghast at the prospect of people taking their own lives.
