First thoughts on The Hive

I did not actually watch the re-airing of the episode last Friday, but what sticks in my mind months later is the kick'm-in-the-face obviousness of the effort to show that Ronon Dex Rules And Aiden Ford Drools, and if you still miss Ford, you probably need a life, because see? Ronon hides knives in his hair! And stuff!

Also, Enzyme!Rodney? He really was amazing. :D I felt a great swell of pity for Carson during the detox cycle.

Cool Carter vs. Vixen Vala.

Claudia Black is coming back as Vala for at least one episode near the end of the season, and I have a nasty feeling that not even her joining the cast as a regular next year is going to stop them from having at least three Carter Rules, Vala Drools, and What Were You Pinhead Fans Thinking, Fawning All Over the Brunette Last Year? moments.
