Long story ending with me finding out my Windows 7 Home Premium hasn't updated since sometime in 2012 because rootkit.

With much cussing and sweating, removed rootkit.

COMPUTER RAN BETTER WHILE ROOTKITTED.

Blue screen of death, please die in a fire.

Every time my computer auto-updates, it crashes everything. I just updated Adobe flash player and now it freezes and shuts down at random times. I can't watch anything, basically.

Which is a problem for someone thinking of going with streaming instead of cable.

Clearly, we need new computers. (nods decisively) It's hardly even excessive spending at this point.
