First, it is an outstanding and well-acted movie.
Second, if you're just going because (insert actor's name here, and there are plenty who qualify, but for me it would have been Benedict Cumberbatch,) and have no expectations of the movie itself, you should go with a whole and happy heart. (see First.)
Third, if you are going because you laughed your ass off at the trailer and are expecting a lighthearted farce or any kind of farce at all, you need to know something: this is a very heavy movie. Yes, there are farcical and comedic moments in there, but I'm pretty sure they exist to keep this from being an abject, unrelieved tearjerker.
I will say this, though: you know how most movies have all the best bits in the trailer? This isn't one of them. I'm pretty sure there isn't a network on TV (that I subscribe to, anyway) that could run the best scene in that movie. Hint: catfish lunch.
