I can't believe I tolerated a shingles shot better than a flu shot. (pout)

Note: I know people who get the flu shot occasionally get the flu. That's not the point. They're not immunizing you again all the flu strains, all the time, amen; they're immunizing you against sh!t what could kill ya. On my better days, I feel a great swell of compassion for the anti-vax crowd. Other days, I just want them to get separatist notions and go away quit messing with my community immunity.

I got my flu shot at my pharmacy, plus a pertussis booster a few weeks ago from the doctor's office. It's making a comeback, and after discussing it with my doctor, she decided it would be a good idea considering where I work. You know, where people bring their kids after they pick them up when the school sends them home because they're sick. *facepalm*

You could put up a tastefully lettered sign in soothing colors that says "If the school doesn't want your diseased glob of adorableness, I don't want your diseased glob of adorableness."

Too subtle? "Sick kids will be given emetic candy and sent to your vehicle"

We already have a sign up that says "Unattended children will be given an expresso and puppy." Which has led many kids to ask when they get a puppy.

I couldn't find the sign I wanted, which is done like a traffic sign: "Unattended children left running will be towed at owner's expense."
