Or, the Atlanta Radio Theater Company, to be more precise. To give them some love, here is the link to their website. To give you some love, here is a link to their recent podcasts, and to the first of their podcasts. If I recall correctly, there are 125 of them. All free, most likely all excellent radio theater productions, because these guys (and gals) really put their hearts into it. Also, the podcasts make for great listening in transit to work. After all, what's more horrifying than a cube farm? H.P. Lovecraft. Maybe.

And how did I hear (snicker) about these folks? Allow me to drop two names with which you might be familiar from this LJ:
Dragon*con (I think they're in every year)
National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo)

NaNoWriMo? Eh?

For the month of October, ARTC is doing three radio dramas by HP Lovecraft (as of this posting 10/8/2012, "Lovecraft's Nightmares" is on their main page, linked above; after Oct 2012, Google is your friend) plus one original story "inspired by" Lovecraft (public fanfic FTW) and 25% of the proceeds go to The Office of Letters and Light, the organization that puts on NaNoWriMo every year. So, if you're in the Atlanta area, show some love to radio theater geeks and baby novelists everywhere while showing yourself a good time.

Today's production was The Rats in the Walls, which included a Lovecraftian take on a Goddess chant, which somehow morphed into a call to Cthulhu (imagine that) before driving the main character to batspit insane...um, no spoilers in case you want to wait on the podcast and hear the tale yourself. (In which case, don't follow the link to the full frontal spoilers Wikipedia page above.)  The black cat in all the ads for the radio play is an actual character, and he's pretty sure he can take Cthulhu.Given that Cthulhu is generally depicted with a plethora of stringy tentacles, every cat in creation at least wants to take Cthulhu.

So, I enjoyed it, it's a good cause and justalurkr sez check it out. ;)
