If you are any variety of American political conservative, I suggest you watch with the sound off. If you're any kind of homophobe, I suggest you not watch this at all.

Note 1: Actually, watching it with the sound off provides anyone with a surreal surfeit of sexy.
Note 2: I may be functionally addicted to that standing flip into the pool.

I loved how patriotic they were with all their red, white & blue!
Yes, that was a lovely flip into the pool!

I think I need to touch the fabric to make sure the color doesn't run.

(smacks self)

One hopes that wasn't my Out Loud voice. (slinks off)

I saw that one a few days ago. I'm still mesmerized.

I was nearly late for work with the rewatches, because you KNOW I can't load it up there. IT would herniate itself trying to decide whether to bust me for indecency or try to get a hate speech thing out of it.

I can't remember if I told you that when our IT department (otherwise known as the police chief, AKA The IT Guy Who Carries a Gun) reworked our network, he made it where all the buildings were on one network. And he installed a filtering system without consulting me and/or the library board, and we did not want to be filtered.

It's not a good filter. If you just want to view a site, simply changing http to https will allow it to come through. And then there's the program I carry on my trusty flash drive TARDIS (it's blue, rectangular, and bigger on the inside) that completely bypasses the filter. I use it to look at Tumbler, which is blocked due to "Adult/Mature Content" which is pretty vague considering the internet as a whole.

Now they're talking about installing a phone system that would tie all departments together so we can transfer calls. I'm partly freaking out because knowing how they do things, it won't include a cordless phone option, which is essential for us in the library. The other part is screaming WHAT FRESH HELL IS THIS, WHEN I CAN'T GET MY LIGHTS FIXED AND I KEEP BEING TOLD WE DON'T HAVE ANY MONEY, DON'T ASK FOR ANYTHING. [ahem]

You most likely mentioned all of that in your LJ at some point, but because I've spent the last three to five years being a self-involved asshole, I haven't been keeping up with anyone else's and an argument could be made "not even with my own."

(Spellcheck/grammar check does NOT like that sentence, and even the Inner English Teacher stirred restlessly. Hmm.)

I shall now attempt to channel your city's bean counters:

WHO NEEDS LIGHTS IN A LIBRARY, ILLUMINATION IS FOR THE WEAK BUT WE CAN'T GO ANOTHER HEARTBEAT WITHOUT BIG BROTHER MONITORING ALL OF YOU DOWN TO YOUR POCKET LINT AND ALSO WHAT IS THIS BOOK WITH TEH SEXEH COVER ON IT censor censor censor

I am Irritated today because my shrink's note isn't getting me out of the mandatory OT this weekend unless I care to discuss it with a VP or above. No, I'm not taking mental illness up with either of the good ol' boys in my chain of command, nor their good ol' boy collaborator sandwiched in between. Besides, life is good when they get the meds right, so if I manage my sleeping and eat something besides Nestles Crunch and Ramen (not together EWWW) I should be all right.

I think they figure we have two flashlights, so that's more than sufficient when it's so dark in a section you can't read the call numbers on the spines.

I'm finally getting to a mostly good meds place. It still feels weird to be so close to normal. Sleep is still iffy, but an increased dose in one med seems to be helping. Still have migraines, mostly when the weather is being a bitch, but it's like 1 - 3 per month instead of that many a week. I'll take it over the non-stop crushing pain and attacks that had me bed-ridden and considering taking medical leave.

It's not like I could hide my condition, hell, easily half of the customers know because they can tell I'm in pain, but I still don't like my boss nor the person who deals with my time cards and time off requests knowing too much. None of their business, plus I feel I'm being judged as too weak when I have to take off.
