I think you have to eat them a lot more slowly than I in order to catch the subtle hints of lettuce. I only recognize the Lay's version of tomato due to having enjoyed their Garden Tomato and (whatever the other flavor is) chips. I suspect Lay's knows their target audiences well -- the bacon flavor is dominant.

That is likely a Very Good Thing. For me, the Baconator was one of those extremely fulfilling experiences that stayed with me for awhile, if you get my drift. Or, extremely tasty, but not for the even vaguely faint of digestion.

More plainly put, you could have fried bacon in my esophagus for about 90 minutes afterward, and I have pretty hardy digestion.

I have to take an antacid daily, or else I have fire from my stomach and practically out my mouth at night. I think that may count as vaguely faint of digestion. Unfortunately.

Okay, back now. I had a bad feeling about in my my gut as soon as I saw the bag on the shelf at the store. Then I did the math on how much angst and energy I wanted to waste on futile resistance, and was assimilated.

my fear exactly - being assimilated by bacon-flavored chips. *sigh* And I have to go to the store today to pick up a prescription. My only hope is that our stores don't have them yet. :)

If they do stock the item, count on it being somewhere hard to miss. I don't usually spend a lot of time looking at fried potato snacks, and this STILL caught my attention.
