So, a BNF of my acquaintance (over the internet only) was musing on Facebook about when did she become a Big Name Fan? Which got me to thinking about Essays I Had Seen on BNF-dom. Which led to a four hour Google extravaganza that failed to turn up the essay I most likely hallucinated that defined in the most hilarious terms possible what a BNF is and isn't, but did turn up the following fan fiction story, which I have no idea how to classify:

Pairing Pendragon / Merlin by Anon

I could babble at great length about what I think it is (beyond beverage snortingly funny) but the FanLore Wiki entry does a much more concise and coherent job.

Ever aware of the diversity of my flist, I will warn for meta, slash and the aforementioned hazards posed by beverages near a keyboard while reading.

100% user error, which should now be fixed. I should probably have taken that a little slower instead of cutting and pasting at warp speed, in order to figure out how never to do it again.
