So, I bought a new watch
Sep. 18th, 2011 10:12 pmIt's a very special watch. Multi-function! I can hear the conversation now:
Me: So, I bought a new watch.
Mom: What's wrong with the (unused, worn to work) watch I gave you (two years ago)?
Me: Um, the battery died?
Mom: (that silence; you know the one I'm talking about. The Spanish Inquisition could have doubled its productivity with this silence.)
Me: The watch you gave me doesn't have 8g of memory for songs and audiobooks?
Mom: So, you bought the new iPod Nano, didn't you?
In my defense, it keeps great time. :D And while I did not get as nice a wriststrap as this one, I did in fact purchase a lower end Belkin strap and have been rocking out to The Essential Billy Joel as I surf idly and contemplate my spendthrift ways weighed against the benefits of retail therapy.
Retail therapy totally wins.
