[Error: unknown template qotd] I think I remember being a little kid in Mesquite, TX, first sitting on my original dad's lap, then chasing Siamese cats around the laundry room, but am advised I'm probably remembering pictures of those things from that time period. Research into ADD indicates my advisors are probably correct; I'm heavily affected in memory.

It really is an odd thing when the actual memories start being replaced by images of those memories. You might be rememebering from those images, but the memories are usually still there. A little bit. I rely heavily on photographs for my memory.

It does make one (gen you) feel fortunate not to have an eidedic memoriy like a Vulcan, doesn't it though? There are things I've *written down* that I may not wish to have remembered years later.

I think I'm just as glad to have the boring and the awful blur a bit in memory, but there are some mistakes I'd like to be able to learn from. ;)

How old were you? (And does ADD make memories easier to access?)

I think my clearest, oldest memory is from when my mother was pregnant with my youngest sister. I was putting the Golden Book "The Three Little Pigs" on her stomach, and the baby was kicking it off. I remember me and K2 were laughing hysterically, and my mom was laughing too. I would have been about three and a half.

I would have been three or four years old at the time. In my case, ADD makes my memory kind of random. I either had to be very focused or feel very strongly about something for it to stick in my memory.
