[Error: unknown template qotd] Yes, and he suffered terribly for it. This guy has been a husband and a father looking for a wife and a mother as long as I've known him, and I'm...neither. He's got his wife and they have two boys now and are much happier.

I once had a guy totally new to town come into the library to get a card, and immediately started questioning me on whether I liked kids as soon as he didn't spot a wedding ring on my finger. He had two boys and they needed a mommy!

And it so wasn't me.

You're a librarian. Doesn't that mean you adore all those kids whose parents use the library as daycare and are basically so morally upright and starchy that you're one step away from being the preacher's wife?

I dated a guy once who had me (in his head) pregnant and barefoot at a projected six months in. It quickly became apparent that he had started our relationship way, way ahead of me.
