I am vaguely, gently amused by the holiday and what people make of it. Based on what I heard at the office yesterday, there ought to be a stimulating effect on the restaurant, flower and candy industry, but not so much the diamond business. I do have an underlying worry for people who feel pressured to "do something" about the progress of their relationships--why today and not any other, folks? Would you be going somewhere with it if there were no Valentine's Day? If so, why wait? If not....
Mainly, though, I like watching the antics of the happy couples.
