1. This does not even compare to the thorny issue I'm having with why Richie has a wild hare up his ass to take off for another galaxy, since it's really Methos who has the...yeah.

Well, the whole thing is going AU after Ransom and before the HL version of Avatar or Archangel or whichever stoopid ep travestorily disposed of Richie, so he'll have to have been in the armed services (or maybe a mercenary?) for a while. I'd make him a scientist, but he died the first time so young, he looks more convincing as a newish recruit than as a PhD. At first, I saw him as an Airman or maybe a Marine guard at the SGC whose squadron or platoon or whatever got deployed to Atlantis. I can put him there any time the muse sees fit, really.
