Need a figleaf here
Nov. 24th, 2012 08:52 amMy shame is complete. I read The Haters Guide the the Williams-Sonoma Catalog, sense of irony sharpened to a razor's edge, then came away with an all but ungovernable desire for the Breville Pie Maker. (hangs head) In my defense, they totally discounted it to $79!
edited to add: Actually, no shame is complete until you realize you've been drooling over an $80, single-use appliance you can get for $19.00 on amazon.com. I'll bet the Nostalgia model doesn't have a dough tamper, though. Totally worth the extra $61.

So I wussed out on the $80 pie maker and went with
Nostalgia Electrics Pie-400 4-Pie Electric Pie Bakery
GoFit Power Loops With Portable Exercise Flipbook, Set Of 3
Body Solid Tools BSTFR36F 36-Inch Foam Roller
Foam Roller Workbook: Illustrated Step-by-Step Guide to Stretching, Strengthening and Rehabilitative Techniques
I haven't decided whether the pie maker was an excuse to buy the exercise gimcracks I've been jonesing for, or pulling the trigger on the exercise gimcracks prompted throwing in the pie maker. I've had my eye on the gear since I started watching Ashley Borden on Youtube following a search on piriformis and psoas (both implicated in various flavors of back pain) release exercises.
While Miss Ashley is quite energetic and thorough in her approach, accent hos and fans in general of male eye candy will appreciate this video about psoas release far, far more. (mmmm--yeah, I'm paying strict attention to that exercise.)
Not so much with the eye or accent candy, but a really good explanation of the piriformis, its connection to back pain and the easiest stretch I've seen to release it yet can be found here.
