In my defense, my last toaster really did stop toasting -- even on the darkest setting, I got raw toast, so clearly a new toaster was in order.

I thought this was the freakiest, gimmickiest thing I'd ever seen, but it also had over 700 reviews on amazon.com, which is certainly the most I've ever seen. That the plurality are 5 star and the average is 4 stars is kind of a record, too, but I don't spend that much time on amazon, so I could be naive.

Also, I have figured out how to embed! You find the "embed" button on youtube! It's amazing

Breakfast for me this morning was one egg scrambled with a very small amount of lean diced ham. It came out looking like a single serving of Spanish omelet, so I plan to cook some frozen hashbrowns with onion and try that.

That looks pretty darn cool. I love eggs for breakfast but think they can be a pain to cook.

The little pan, hard-boiled egg cooker, warming rack and lid are all top-rack dishwasher safe. Had I actually poached the egg instead of scrambling it, I wouldn't have dirtied up another bowl! There's a little measuring cup that marks off the water levels for three levels of hard-boiled egg and two levels of poached.

I picked lightly poached for my scramble, and it was plenty cooked.
