[Error: unknown template qotd] Depend on mood. Sweet: Nestle's Crucnch. Salty: hummus on wheat crackers. Sweet and salty? Peanut butter and honey on whole wheat toast.

[Error: unknown template qotd] Haven't done one of these in a while. Last person I hugged was a co-worker leaving on vacation. I have got to get a life.

[Error: unknown template qotd] It doesn't make sense to me that national elections have become such a theater of the absurd.

[Error: unknown template qotd] Packing to move from Hollywood, FL, to Cedartown, GA. Mother and I had been bantering over whether we could stay focused on sorting and tossing with soap operas daytime dramas on in the background right before we flipped on the TV. We were unable to remain focused for about two hours after we did.

[Error: unknown template qotd] Cold War vintage International Relations major. As a network support analyst for a major wireless carrier, I'm going to say ... noooo, my major had nothing to do with what I do for living. :D

[Error: unknown template qotd] Um, none. If you've ever wondered what the hell is wrong with me, pick from: Baby Boom vintage upper middle class White Anglo-Saxon Protestant suburban-American Princess, raised in Northern California by a member of the Greatest Generation and the Sandwich Generation, both Fortune 500 middle managers and hell-bent on giving their baby girl the Very Best of Everything. So essentially, no whim (nor need) went unmet and I am the first of several generations of my family to grow into a (slightly) lower standard of living than I grew up with, and that's only because I declined to wed or to learn to stop spending money like a drunken sailor at 11:45 on a Cinderella pass prior to age 40.

Plus, there was no such thing as an Android tablet computer back then.

edited to add: did I leave out "only child?" I might have. In case it isn't obvious. The step-sister and two half-sisters were all raised in other states, or Southern California, which pretty much counts as a different state from Northern California.

[Error: unknown template qotd] Lord of the Rings was my first compulsive re-read, followed by Asimov's Foundation trilogy, largely for the total escape into a different reality that they offered. With all respect, I consider certain romance authors to be rereads, especially those with continuing series. Yes, the details are different but the story remains the same.

[Error: unknown template qotd] Bay Area in California to South Florida with my mom along for the ride. We read to each other and stopped in my home town in Texas while my job-related relocation was stalled.

[Error: unknown template qotd] No. I feel a little freaky admitting it, but I've never had an "our song" connected with a romantic partner.

TOS: Pavel Chekov (self assured, yet adorably clueless)
TNG: Lwaxana Troi (pervy like me)
VOY: Kathryn Janeway (but with diet Coke)
DS9: Jadzia Dax (wiseass in more than one sense)
ENT: Malcolm Reed (blows shit up. 'nuff said)
NEW: Nyota Uhura (I have a thing for languages...and Spock.)

if I can only be one,it's Lwaxana

[Error: unknown template qotd] ;Varies and depends on mood. Currently, it's On The Border's Ranchilada with black beans, rice, unsweet tea and a starter of chips and salsa. There is no room for dessert after that.

[Error: unknown template qotd] "Girlfriend can sing." Seriously. I blew her off because of the outre fashion sense, then actually listened on the Graham Norton show to "Born this Way." Then I got to thinking about Madonna, and how I used to say that the #1 most successful way for Madonna wanna-bes to succeed probably wouldn't look anything like Madonna. I feel vindicated. Way to go, GaGa

[Error: unknown template qotd] I wear Thorlo walking socks with non-athletic shoes in public regularly. Because I also wear pants and go to some trouble to match them to my shoes, it's hard to tell, but the fashion police do seem to dig fancy hosiery.

[Error: unknown template qotd] Like a shot, and I know I'm old mostly because it's free and then because it's the moon. Did anyone else just flash back to Robert Heinlein's "The Man Who Sold the Moon?"

[Error: unknown template qotd] Summer blockbusters, funny science fiction, HP/LOTR to the first. SmartPop popcorn, almost anything chocolate and potstickers to the second. I just found baked onion rings at Trader Joe's, though, so that may become a new favorite.
